2nd May Caymans day four {C2K week 7 day 1}

Started the morning by dropping the children at school and Philip to work then after a visit the the Department of Transport to get my Cayman driving certificate  Claire took me along South Sound looking at the expensive houses which she would love to live in. 
We stopped at a small shack which claimed to be a craft shop! WOW, it was about three times bigger inside than out filled with not only crafts but some fine art pieces unfortunately my favorite item was over $8000 and probably weighed more than my baggage allowance. One of the strangest things we saw on route was a shoe tree!!

 Further up the road we came to Smiths Cove a beautiful little sandy bay ideal for snorkeling might have to come back to this. Also I found the second of 14 'Blue Dragons' {couldn't photograph the first}. An art project where larger than life models of The Cayman Blue Iguana have been painted by artists and put in different locations around the Island.  We also called in at Sunset House where under water photographer has a gallery & camera shop, more of that latter in the week

The afternoon walking around The George Town area including visiting the National Trust and the 'Step Well' photos to follow.We ended the day at Rackhams for drinks and chicken and chips. Two cruise ships in today Carnival Glory & Carnival Legend quite apt as tomorrow is Batabanoo {Carnival}
