IOW 6

Walked into Ventnor today it was a gentle stroll along the prom

Boat stowing its spinnaker

Mosaic of the Glanville Fritillary unique to IOW

The prom to Ventnor
The Spyglass Inn

then we picnicked on the beach

Then took James to the paddling pool

Fun paddling pool used to be fed by the stream running down the cliff
We walked   into town past the cascade

Then we walked back to the cottage. Not a lot of photos today so here are some from Sunday of Bonchurch. First the Old Church which proudly proclaims that it was re-built in 1070!!!

Belfry on Bonchurch Old Church

St Boniface Old Church

Model of the church

I just liked the pretty flowers

Fantastic roof structure and of cause the lighting

Mediaeval wall painting possibly depicting the last judgement
In the grave yard there was a very strange head and foot stone on one grave

From the Old church we walked a few yards up hill to The New Church

Light on the gate post

amazing family vault in the church yard.
