IOW 2

Late start this morning and none of us really felt like doing much so we decided to walk around Bonchurch and see what this little village had to offer. After all there aren't many small villages that have two parish churches still in use.

Firstly we walked down to the sea front via the village green,

The family walk across the village green
At the far end of the village green is this sculpture of a wooden man we could find no information about it but older photos on the net show him holding a lobster pot.

The Pottery

Looking along the sea wall toward Ventnor
From there we walked up the hill to the village pond where we saw some ducklings an strangely terrapins

Pretty flowers

From there we visited both the old an new Churches tried to get  back to the cottage via 100 Steps turned round and walked back the way we came. Think I'll save the photos for another day.
